Created between 2013 and 2016, Ed Maximus’ Anatomy of Emotions is a visual exploration of the human body as a vessel of communication and emotion. Using both still and moving images, Maximus illustrates a visceral, raw and haunting depiction of universal trauma and loss modeled after his own experience with depression. Anatomy of Emotion strived to provide a platform for both the model and viewer to confront hard life experiences using art as a mean of therapeutic catharsis.
