OVERVIEW
Blackness I is Ed Maximus' first sculpture in a series of two conveying the feeling of being Black in America. This piece was originally sculpted with clay then molded and casted in Jesmonite with fiberglass reinforcement and finished with Black pigment. The piece will be engraved at the bottom by Ed Maximus. A Certificate of Authentication will also be provided.
MATERIAL
Jesmonite is a composite material made of gypsum and acrylic resin. It is extremely durable, flame and impact resistant. It is used to fabricate both small and large objects and can be finished to look like stone, metal, wood, or plaster. It is often used in conjunction with fiberglass to further increase its durability.
SHIPPING
Allow up to 3 weeks for order to be fulfilled. Orders are shipped in a crate with maximum protection.
